Who’s Afraid of the Park! 2018
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your teams for your support at Who’s Afraid of the Park! You we’re all so great, as always and I am so appreciative of all you do.

Kindest regards,

Girls Night Out 2018

As always the EA-CAT were absolute superstars! We are so lucky to have their support at Girls Night Out 2018 and value their time and efforts that goes into the event. We had Wayne based in our marshal trailer and was taking down dialogue from the members of the team whilst out on the route via walkie-talkies. Their commitment, attentiveness and enthusiasm for the event was great and we would love to invite EA-CAT to join us next year at Girls Night Out.

We use EA-CAT for some of our other events, Paws in the Park & Battle of the Knights and each event they are professional, willing to lend a hand – with any job (!) and just absolutely lovely people to have at an event. We are very lucky to have them involved with the Hospice.

Thank you – from Charlie & Jenny at the St Nicholas Hospice Care Fundraising Team

Rendlesham Show 2018

Dear Dean,
Thank you to you and your team for all your help at The Rendlesham Show.
I hope the day was enjoyable for all your team; their help was certainly very much appreciated as without it, we would have a parking nightmare on our hands!
Best wishes, Carole

Felixstowe Carnival 2018

Good Morning Duncan,

Just like to pass on all our thanks to all your crew for all your input to the carnival weekend.
We couldn't have done it without you.

We shall be in touch very soon.

Kind regards

Dear colleagues
On behalf of Suffolk Resilience Forum (SRF) partners, I would like to offer my sincere thanks for the 4x4 vehicle support provided during the recent period of heavy snowfall. I understand that volunteers worked very long hours in challenging conditions to assist the statutory responders and Suffolk communities.
Within the SRF it has long been recognised that Suffolk Voluntary Organisation Group (SVOG)is an integral element of the multi-agency response & recovery to widespread, protracted emergencies. It is very reassuring to know that trained, experienced. SVOG member organisations and other local authorities can be called upon at short notice to deliver this support/mutual aid across the county.
Numerous comments from statutory responders about the 'can do' attitude of the 4x4 vehicle drivers over a prolonged response period have been received, and the limited trained 4x4 resources across the county contributed greatly to the statutory response.

Please convey my thanks to individual drivers.

Yours sincerely

Mark Hardingham
Chief Fire Officer and
Director of Fire and Safety

Snow March 2018

Many thanks to Duncan who got us through all the snow drifts to visit our patients in Leiston and Eye last night. Awful conditions but we felt safe and our patients were very glad to see us

Hi Dean

I just wanted to thank you again for all the support EA-CAT gave to the event, the first Rendlesham Firework Display was a huge success with over 1,500 people came along on the night to enjoy the funfair, food and display.

Thanks to everyone who donated or sponsored the event we raised a massive £2,308! This, together with the Parish Council budget for next year’s event means that the 2018 event can go ahead. If EA-CAT are available on Sunday 4 November 2018 it would be great to have you come along once again.

It’s going to be bigger and better, and yes, there will be more food vendors (we admit we didn’t anticipate that nearly half the population of Rendlesham would turn up!).

Many thanks

Parish Clerk

Dear Dean and Duncan,

Just a quick note to say well done and a great big thank you to you and all your team for your invaluable contribution to the fireworks event on Sunday. It was a massive success and from all the public comments on Facebook and initial feedback received so far in to the office, everyone had a fantastic time. The turnout was amazing, exceeding all our expectations and the fireworks were brilliant.

Thank you!

Best Wishes

Lucy Campbell - Event Coordinator

Hi All,

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you all for your help on Sunday – you were all amazing and please do send my thanks to everyone in your teams!

It was the first event I organised for the hospice and your help and support both on the night and in the lead up to the event made everything run so smoothly and was so re-assuring to know that the safety element of the event was in safe hands and for this I will be eternally grateful.

Kindest regards,

I would like to echo the thanks already emailed to Duncan and the other members of the team who helped us so much on Saturday. Having the route signage up and then collected, being on hand to deal with problems during the event was invaluable, we really can’t thank you enough. Event safety is our top priority and is particularly hard to manage when there are over 2000 ladies walking on public highways. I wondered how your organisation is funded? If you are a charity in your own rights, we would like to make a donation. I also wondered if you would like to come and visit St Nicholas Hospice Care to see how your help is benefitting our patients and their families. We currently need to raise over £11,000 a day to continue to support those who need us in West Suffolk and Thetford.

I am delighted to say that Girls Night Out 2017 is on target to raise at least £250,000! We are so pleased, thank you for your help in achieving this.

I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully meeting you soon

EA-CAT were simply fantastic at our Girls Night Out event in September.

Rob and Duncan came along on the Saturday, and put up the route signage for us, and then stayed for the duration of the walk which starts at 8pm and aims to finish at midnight. The team were fantastic in acting as a back sweep vehicle, standing down marshals and taking down the route signage. They were also brilliant in responding to various parts of the routes when needed.

The team were professional, friendly and great for the event. We would love to have EA-CAT join us for other events during the year for St Nicholas Hospice Care.

Thank you to you and your team for yesterday we couldn't of done that without you all.
Thank you again.

I think we can safely say, yesterday's Bubble Rush was a total success – thank you so much for coming, your services were very much appreciated not only by our bubblers but staff and volunteers too!

As you know, the hospice relies on the funds raised at our events, and all other aspects of fundraising, and we are so grateful for your support. So far, the event has generated over £25,000 with sponsorship still coming in. Your contribution makes a huge difference so thank you from all the team.

We hope you had a good day and enjoyed the atmosphere.

We look forward to seeing you again soon, enjoy the rest of the Summer days

St Elizabeth's Hospice

On behalf of Felixstowe Carnival we would like to thank all of your team on providing your services over the carnival weekend. Help with the procession and manning roads during fireworks; without you it wouldn't be possible.

Hope to see you again next year 28th-29th July 2018!

Felixstowe Carnival Committee

Dear Duncan,

Many thanks to and the team for all you did on the marshalling front at the Ekeden Relay last Sunday.

Dear EA-CAT,

Thank you so much for helping us to break all records at Rendlesham Show 2017!

We are delighted to have received very positive feedback telling us how much both participants and visitors enjoyed the show.

We know that the show was a success because of the valuable contribution of the many kind-hearted friends like you, who have provided help of all kinds.

We couldn't have managed without all this help and are very grateful to you.

Carole Brason

on behalf of the Show Planning Team

Thank you to each and every one of the EA-CAT team who helped make this event as successful as it was, not only providing support and reassurance to all our 2500 walkers but also to our wonderful volunteers. Around 200 amazing volunteers assisted on both the six and twelve mile routes, helping keep our walkers motivated and on the right track, and all were overseen by EA-CAT and RAYNET. A big thank you and we look forward to working with you more in the future. Best Wishes the Events Team

St Elizabeth Hospice

Thank you so much for your great support of The Rendlesham Show 2016.
The show was hugely successful because of the combined effort of so many kind and generous people, thank you for your valued contribution.

With grateful thanks

Carole Brason
Show Coordinator

Thank-you to the fantastic number of marshals who turned out to run the event. As well as the regulars there were several new marshals including the guys from the EA-CAT - Eastern Community Assistance Team. Thanks Marshals, without you the event could not have run and both us and all of the competitors appreciate you.

West Suffolk Motorsport Club?

Dear Andy and the team,
Just a short note to say thanks a million for all you did before, during and after the event, and to the car park marshals would love to have you back next year.

Please pass on our thanks to all your members who are doing such stirling work in this bad weather.

I have been fully informed of all your organisation has done for, not only the Domiciliary are workers looking after people in the community but also in getting our staff to the Hospital and our Nursing Home, thus ensuring that our level of care to the elderly and frail patients we care for did not falter during this time.

We cannot thank you enough for all you have done for us.

We will be providing an article to the local press letting them know what an excellent service you did for us. Our finance team will also be looking at giving a donation to your organisation once they have done their calculations.

I do hope that local people recognise the service and commitment of your organisation and support you. Without this type of community spirit and involvement in helping each other we could not have continued to provide our services to the people we care for.

Clair Westwood-Deamer
Chief Executive - All Hallows Healthcare Trust

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you and your team for the excellent help that we received during the wintry weather. It enabled us to continue a service to our most vulnerable clients and it is most appreciated.

Prema Dorai - Primary Homecare

I am aware of the excellent contribution that the team made to assist care organisations to deliver social care in Suffolk during the adverse weather that affected Suffolk during December last year and again in January. Your volunteers travelled over 4000 miles and worked over 300 hours to transport carers and social workers who were delivering essential services to vulnerable people in their own homes.

In recognition and thanks for this contribution I have authorised a donation to your team.

Once again I thank you and your volunteer drivers for your efforts during the worst weather condition to affect Suffolk in twenty years.
